Greetings!
I love summer rain, I just wish it would rain at night. That way my days can be filled with motorcycle riding, when I'm not doing deliveries or picnics of course.
This issue we've got some great pictures and an introduction of our Lawn Games (Team Building) Package. In the May Newsletter we introduced our "Catering Referral 5% Program" as a way to help our customers help with fundraising for youth organizations. We thought we could help families with the ongoing challenge of providing financial support for youth athletic programs, church groups and school clubs. And now we are ready to take a good idea and make it better. We have decided to expand the program to include additional special causes. My business partner Mike Kelly has a niece in need of help. Angela Tierney Jung, has been battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for 10 years. Recently, the MS has progressed and is dangerously attacking her brain stem. There is hope to halt her disease and save her with a stem cell transplant offered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. So far, 100% of the people who have had this transplant for MS have halted their disease, and 81% of them are healing the neurological damage that MS causes! Angela and family (3 young children) need your help. Angela has seen the experts at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and they have determined that she needs this stem cell transplant. The transplant requires Angela and her caregiver to relocate to Chicago for up to 3 months. Transplantation takes several weeks and includes chemotherapy, the actual transplant, and weeks of waiting for Angela to stabilize. Angela and her loved ones need this miracle to save her life. Stem cell transplantation alone will cost about $100,000, so fundraising is vital. With the help of God, you, and medicine today, we can save Angela's life. Here is how it works. Designate Help Us Help Angela as your "Catering Referral 5% Program" recipient and Angela will receive a donation of 5% of the total amount of catering or event services purchased over the next year and a half (June 1, 2009 - December 31, 2010). We offer a wide variety of catering and event services including corporate meeting meals, special events, company picnics, weddings, graduations and celebrations of all types. Our staff can assist you with everything you need to plan and coordinate a successful meeting or event. It's easy. Just call Mike Kelly or myself and let us know you want to help Angela to get 5%. We will handle the rest of the details. The "Catering Referral 5% Program" is administered by Special Events Midwest. There is no extra cost to you to use our services. In fact you might save money because of the great values we offer. There is no cost to Angela either. She gets the donation of 5% of the Food and Services Sub Total of every order placed (Order Total less Delivery Charge, Service Charge and Tax), delivered and paid for in full during the duration of the program. Donations will go to a fundraising campaign in Angela's honor that has been established with the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF)..
Talk to you soon,
Daniel |

Lawn Games and Fun Based Team Building! |

It's picnic season and let me tell you, I have seen some serious team bonding going on at recent picnics. Come on now, don't be the only company on the block without a summer picnic! Special Events Midwest hosts a fun (and hilarious) game package that would be perfect for your office.
As I assist in running these games, I watch employees bond naturally through laughter, communication and competition, and did I mention laughter? Our staff has taken home some pretty great stories in witnessing companies like your own play these games. We will run the games in our (new and clean!) referee jerseys so, watch yourself! The games will challenge your office to something other than going the distance with phone calls or blast emails. Our company will bring on the challenge of distance in marshmallows and blasting chickens across the yard. Let me clarify, we are not evil people - the chickens are rubber.
Team up this game package with a scrumptious meal plan, BBQ on site and beverages of your choice and, BAM - what a picnic! So, let me ask you, can your office take the heat? Want to take on this activity with a group other than your co-workers? Make it a family outing, or a gathering of friends! Contact our Event Planners to put together the perfect picnic for your group this summer! -Courtney Horsch 763.746.7992
